Helping Hand serves low-income individuals and families living in Elizabethtown and southern Hardin County. Helping Hand provides bill payment, job training, budget counseling, and assistance in the client completing his/her GED. They have a program called "Helping Hand to Work" to teach job skills to clients and how to dress for work. They also provide clothes for their work. While they believe in helping those on low-income, they to offer them a chance to change their lives for the better.

Since 2000, the Heartland Crisis Pregnancy Center has been speaking the truth about abortion in the hope of saving unborn babies and women from the tragedy it brings. Education, prayer, and emotional support help our clients make wise decisions and regain stability and independence. This is done with a spirit of love, demonstrating by our words and actions that there is hope in and through Jesus Christ.

New clients are presented with facts regarding abortion, particularly focused on the physical risks involved, and with the mental and emotional trauma that remains. Positive alternatives to abortion are discussed including adoption placement, referrals to community support agencies, and direct material support options. The center provides educational studies on pregnancy and childbirth, parenting, abstinence, and STD's, as well as a large variety of Bible studies. HCPC also seeks to mend the broken through hosting a post-abortion support group.

Warm Blessings, Inc. is a corporation organized for the purpose of providing meals to hungry people with the vision to offer emergency shelter to people in crisis. Hot meals are served Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings in the College Heights United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown located at 710 College Street Road from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

America's Second Harvest of KY's Heartland operates as a central clearing-house for collecting and distributing food and grocery products that might otherwise be wasted. The food bank solicits and receives both new and commercially excess but fully edible food from the food industry such as manufacturers, distributors, warehouse and storage operations, grocery chains, or from individual donors. It also benefits from being a member of America's Second Harvest network of food banks.

Its mission is to serve those in need by acquiring and distributing donated food and grocery items through its member network of charitable agencies in 35 Kentucky counties. It provides emergency food to over 3,000 families a week. It is determined to achieve its vision that "no one will go to bed hungry in our service area"
