The First Christian Garden Ministry raises produce for local families in need.
In 2009, over 1,500 pounds of produce from this garden, located next to Freeman
Lake, were donated to local families. Our goal is to double that figure in
2010, but we need your help. We are currently looking for volunteers to help in
this ministry, so if you have a passion for gardening and would like to help,
please email Doug Mitchell at dmitchell@firstchristianonline.com.
Planting will take place the first week in May. Also, we are looking for a
small trailer to use to house the rakes, tillers, and other tools that we need
for this garden. If you have one that you would be interested in loaning out,
