Young at Heart, Seniors Ministry

Young at Heart is a group of seniors (both men and women) who meet at noon on the third Thursday of each month. We take periodic trips to Huber Farm, Derby Dinner Playhouse, Lighthouse Restaurant, the Creation Museum, and Cathedral Gardens to name a few.

The Psalmist wrote, "I will praise You as long as I live" (Psalms 63:4). Every day is a gift from God and we should live it to the fullest, which is why this ministry exists. It offers seniors a number of opportunities to connect with one another in uplifting relationships.

Loving Children

Titus wrote, "Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance. Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children" (Titus 2:1-4).

We believe that our seniors are one of our greatest resources. Besides volunteering and encouraging, they participate in perhaps the two most important works of God's church: prayer and modeling Christ-like behavior to our young people.
