This next part is not a checklist or a scorecard. It's more like a peace treaty, terms for ending the rebellion. It's how we accept God as our Heavenly Father and how He adopts us as His children.
We admit we have sinned, then commit to leave our past behind us. (Acts 2:38)
We believe and confess that Jesus is who He claimed to be: the Lord, the Son of God. (Romans 10:9-10)
We submit to God in baptism to seal our commitment and receive the Holy Spirit. (Romans 6:4)
We begin walking with God daily--that's what it means to "live by the Spirit." (Romans 8:13; 1 John 3:24)
